First Time Pole Dancers Trying Pole Class

FIRST TIME HERE?

Whether you are new to pole or new to the studio, we’ve got classes for you!

Download our New Welcome Sheet to take a look at what your first pole class at our studio will be like and let us know if you have any questions.

We offer drop-in and series classes held online and in-studio, and you can see our schedule and register for class via our scheduling system at Punchpass. We also offer on-demand pole tutorials and workout videos from our instructors at our Patreon account. Subscriptions to our Patreon fund our Teacher Education Program. Check out our class descriptions below and sign up.

We only have 4 poles, so class sizes are always small. The max per pole we allow per class is 2 people, so even when you are sharing a pole everyone gets one-on-one attention. Most of our classes at capped at 7 students in studio, and 8 students online.

WHAT TO EXPECT, WEAR, AND BRING

Wear something comfy you can move in that makes you feel good. For pole classes, we recommend tight fitting shorts and tank tops or sport bra. For flex, heels, and floorwork classes you can wear leggings. Each class description below includes info for what you will need for each particular class, whether it’s heels, platforms, or knee pads. Layering your clothes is a good idea for class and we always encourage you to be yourself with your pole fashion!

Remember not to apply oil-based lotion to your skin 24 hours before class so you don’t slip down the pole!

We have a bathroom where you can change, outside shoes should be left in the front lobby, and we have cubbies for the rest of your things. Feel free to make yourself at home!

ONLINE VIDEO CLASSES AND TUTORIALS

Can’t make it to our scheduled classes or need more workouts in between classes? Check out our pole and flex workout videos and tutorials via Patreon!

Our Pole in the Wall Patreon Video Library has more than 00 videos of pole, flex, conditioning, and sexy tutorials. We also archive all of our online classes there, like the fun 90min Electric Wave Online Flex Class with Live DJ event we had recently, so you can take our classes in your own time.

Other full length studio classes available in our Patreon are:
• Flex Fit
• Heels Dance
• Sexy Pole Classes
• Pole Fitness
• Floorwork
• Levels 1 – 4 Pole Classes and Tutorials

There are workouts that use the pole and without, and workouts for all levels, starting at just $15/month for No Pole Workouts or $30/month if you want Pole Workouts (cancel at any time). Let us know if you have any requests for tutorials and we look forward to poling with you in your own time!

We want to give you a HUGE THANK YOU, because as a Patron of Pole in the Wall, you are helping to fund our Teacher Education Program, which allows our instructors to further their pole and fitness education. All funds collected from this platform are given to instructors at the end of each year to put toward certifications and trainings.

Keeping our instructors up to date on their education helps keep our content evolving and our students safe. We are thankful for all our Patrons who support our community!

STUDIO AND CLASS PASS POLICIES

For COVID-19, we will always follow the latest guidelines from the CDC, state, and local governments, but as a rule we encourage you to wear a mask to class if you are unvaccinated or feel safer with one, and bring your own equipment (microfiber towel for the pole, water bottle, yoga mat, blocks, and strap for flex class) if you do not wish to share. If you have any symptoms of COVID 19 or any contagious illness, please stay home and move your reservation. If you have been traveling, please quarantine and consider getting a COVID 19 test before returning back to class for the safety of our community.

If you need to cancel or move your class reservations, you must do so at least 2 hours before your scheduled class, or you will lose your class credit. We do not offer refunds, and we reserve the right to cancel classes that have low enrollment.

We do not accept new walk-in students but if you are an existing student and you missed registration for a class, you may show up to class if there’s space and if you have a pass in your account. This applies to in-studio only — we will not be able to add students to an online class after the 2 hour registration deadline has passed.

Students cannot bring friends or family members to class with them, unless they are also signed up for class. People who are not signed up for class must wait outside the studio during class, and absolutely no one under the age of 18 is allowed in the studio per our insurance.

Students who have 3 "no shows" or "late cancels" marked against their account (students who do not cancel or moving their registration before the cut-off and do not show for class) within a 30 day span will receive a 30 day freeze on their account. Students who initiate disputes for charges on their account will be banned from the studio due to the charges incurred from Stripe, so if you have any questions about charges made on your account, please email us first to discuss.

Class Passes expire 3 months after purchase and multiple class passes expire within 3 months of first use unless otherwise noted.

We stand with pole community and the #studiounitypledge to actively promote anti-racism.

We are constantly educating ourselves in ways we can make our classes, instructor team, and facility more accessible to our local pole community, and we strive to keep our studio a safe space for all humans, especially our BIPOC and LGBTQ friends and family. Be kind and be respectful. Pole in the Wall has a zero tolerance policy against racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia and any unwanted touching.
